Homage to Petar Lubarda
In honour of the 100th anniversary of
the birth of Petar Lubarda, the famous painter who has a
highly significant place in the history of the 20th
century Serbian painting, a special painting performance
titled "I am Petar Lubarda" was held on July 26.
2007 as part of the project “Omaz Lubarda”.

It was organized by the
gallery "Out Aut" and “Praxis Gallery” under the
auspices of the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia.
The performance,
that moved a storm of emotion among audiences, was
executed by the painter Ranko Pavic, with the assistance of
his Canadian colleague Alison Braun. Pavic followed his natural
instinct and artistic inspiration in an extremely successful attempt
to present the spirit of Petar Lubarda's life work.
